Paris, France

I've willed, I've walked, I've read, I've talked, I know, I know, I've been here before

I have come to certain realizations in this life; one of them is at some point I will be spending a lot more time in France. This is a fountain along the north side of the Tuileries, before Concorde and right before I stopped for a really good strawberry crepe.

This is the third time I've walked in Paris in four years. This time it remained just a short and irresistible chunnel day trip from London.  Never enough time...

Everything that is good about Beauborg as seen through the escalators at a recently renovated Centre Pompidou, home to one of my favorite museums.

Despite all of the times I have been to Paris before (really it’s only my third time there), this was my first visit to Sacre Coeur and Montmartre, which had a lot of stairs but not so many stairs that it really needed that funicular next door.

For my second trip to Paris in two years, I chose to try a Eurostar day trip from London Waterloo Station, so there’s not too many pictures this time from Paris. But even on a short trip I still had time to do one of the best city walks ever. Starting from Cite Metro Stop, I head north, cross the river, then west through the courtyards of the Louvre, through the Tuileries and right on to the Champs Elysee.

One last picture before we go back to London and then, for me at least, to parts unknown.
