Acadia National Park, Maine

You had to send a wrecking crew after me, I can't walk right

Something a little different. Since regular slideshow viewers have likely seen more than enough pictures of Maine to last them the rest of their natural lives, I am including a one time special gimmick with this one. Accompanying each all too familiar picture will be an expectedly short, stream of consciousness Haiku- my reasoning being that the only thing that people love more than all too familiar Maine pictures are expectedly short, stream of consciousness Haiku. Enjoy.

No one on the trail
The lake fails to protect me
Silently trees laugh

A forest deepens
Eleven miles later
There is still no end

Slippery wet rock
Loud, punishing ocean swells
The coast disappears

Twelve hundred feet up
As pine trees slowly transform
The rocks remain rocks

Deliberate stone
An unexpected bridge waits
Deep in the forest

That sunny blue sky
One I do not remember
From a time so gray

Coming up next: More all too familiar Maine pictures with their expectedly short, stream of consciousness Haiku
