Damn this foolish heart

If you've ever read any of those other Los Angeles slideshows you've heard me blather (yes, I said blather) on and on about the Getty Center. Every other sentence I say something different- it's either the greatest thing ever conceived by man or somehow disappointing, as if there is some easy answer to such a complicated place. That said there must be something about it if I keep going back and keep taking pictures, although this time the light gave me little choice. A late afternoon sun started with crisp shadows on warmly lit stone and then faded into dusk, at every turn another view begged me to take its picture and I was all too happy to oblige. The images themselves remain self explanatory- stone, glass, metal, trees, light, sun, shadows, sky- in truth I guess it's all you'll ever need.

But wait, there’s more

I go to these AIA Conventions almost every year, meaning that there’s lots of slideshows and pictures and stories from all sorts of different cities, showing off their best architecture and design for all to see.

There are more pictures and stories and slideshows to see
