Kenai Fjords National Park, Alaska
My compass spins, the wilderness remains
While there are still a lot of places that I have never been and a lot of places I have always thought about visiting, none quite held the same place in my imagination as Alaska. For years now I planned on going, for years I tried to picture what these places, these experiences might be like and (of course) no imagination (or picture for that matter) can match the stillness, the majesty, the danger, the distance of such a scaleless place.
So after fifteen pages and one hundred and fifty four pictures., here is one last view back at Aialik Bay. One last view of the glacier, the mountains, the islands, the sky, the sea. One last chance to remember (or imagine) that such a place exists.
